The Northeast’s Largest Triathlon Summit & Expo Features Renowned Speakers, Helpful Seminars and Clinics, Competitive Events, a Vendor Exposition, and a RaceQuest Travel Triathlon Training Camp in Costa Rica as a Grand Prize Giveaway!

Boston, MAJanuary 6, 2016 – Sun Multisport Events today announced its annual TRI-MANIA Summit and Expo event – “the epicenter of all things triathlon” – will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Boston University’s Fit Rec Center. TRI-MANIA, developed in partnership with the USAT Northeast Regional Council, is the northeast’s premier gathering dedicated to educating, equipping and inspiring triathletes and kicking off the new multisport season.

TRI-MANIA will feature expert-led seminars and clinics; competitive events; a vendor exposition; and this year’s major grand prize giveaway – a 4-day 2017 RaceQuest Travel Triathlon Training Camp in Costa Rica valued at $2,875.

Free registration is now open. Registered attendees receive free access to the expo and seminars, and also earn exclusive discounts on TRI-MANIA clinics and workshops, plus a chance to win valuable giveaways. As an added bonus, the first 1,000 registrants will receive a “goodie bag” filled with product samples, valuable coupons and more.

Speakers at TRI-MANIA have included some of the most recognizable names in triathlon, including world champion triathletes (Mirinda Carfrae, Dave Scott, Mark Allen, Julie Dibens), renowned coaches (Siri Lindley, Sheila Taormina, Terry Laughlin) and endurance sports legends (Bob Babbitt, Dave McGillivray). The initial line-up of 2016 TRI-MANIA speakers will be announced next week.

“I have been fortunate to kick off the New England multisport season as a TRI-MANIA presenter since its first year in 2004,” said Will Kirousis, Co-Director at Tri-Hard, a leading endurance-sports coaching company. “In the 12 years that have followed, Mark Walter and the Sun Multisport Events crew have continued to raise the bar, delivering an exceptional experience for all participants while keeping a community feel that turns this event into a kind of annual homecoming. That sense of community is a key reason so many of us keep coming back and why there’s no better place for endurance athletes and the providers that serve them to gather, share, learn and get pumped up for the new season.”

Located at 915 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, Mass., Boston University’s Fit Rec Center provides state-of-the-art facilities for TRI-MANIA, including 25,000+ square feet for the exposition and seminars, multiple classrooms for an expanded clinic and workshop schedule, an indoor track, a world-class pool, and more. For attendees driving to the event, the facility offers ample parking at the Agganis Arena garage and other BU lots. Visit the Getting There for more information.

TRI-MANIA is produced by the award-winning team at Sun Multisport Events. In addition to TRI-MANIA, Sun Multisport produces a series of endurance events throughout New England ranging from sprint to half-distance triathlons and running events. Sun Multisport won “Best Race Series” and its Patriot Half won “Best Small Race” (less than 1,000 athletes) in the 2013 Triathlete’s Choice Awards administered by Triathlon Business International.
