MMRF Team Challenge headlines Competitive Events at RACE-MANIA
Boston, Mass. – March 5, 2018 – Sun Multisport Events today announced an action-packed slate of competitive events for teams and individuals taking place at it’s 15th annual RACE-MANIA Summit and Expo being held on Saturday, March 25, 2018 at Boston University’s Fit Rec Center. These swim, bike, and run events will occur throughout the day as an integral part of the RACE-MANIA Summit & Expo experience, providing participants an early-season test of their endurance and an exciting, fun-filled spectacle for attendees.
Headlining this year’s line-up of competitions is the MMRF Team for Cures Team Challenge which will feature 18-20 clubs including the defending-champion Peak Tri Coaching Team led by USAT and IRONMAN certified coach Colin Cook. Other clubs competing include the Bay State Triathlon Team, Boston Triathlon Team, Breakthrough Performance Coaching, Zoom Multisport, teams from the Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference and others. This unique competition is comprised of the following events:
- The Marathon Sports 4 x 1600m Run Relay
- The FastSplits Indoor Bike Time Trial
- The Relay Team 4 x 200m Swim Challenge

Individuals will also have the opportunity to participate in the FastSplits Indoor Time Trial or the Max Performance Indoor Triathlon, a “staged” event comprised of three competitions unfolding throughout the day:
- A 200 yard Swim Sprint
- The FastSplits Indoor Bike Time Trial
- The Marathon Sports 1600m Dash
Athletes in the Max Performance Indoor Triathlon will be timed in each individual event. The times from each event will then be combined and the male and females with the fastest overall time will be crowned the Max Performance Indoor Triathlon champions. As an added bonus, all participants in this competition will receive a free pair of ROKA swim goggles.
